1a) The author wrote the previous entry to inform readers that she wasn't in the right state of mind then. In the source, "Its hard for anybody to understand all these" tells us that her mind was in a state of confusion and clearly shows she has much more to say but could not express it clearly.

The tone used was sad, and not one of anger because of the presence of the numerous number of "sorry" and "thankyou"s. The source was targeted for her few specific readers, but there was no purpose for it, because it only depicted her true emotions that does not contain any need for them to feel guilty or whatsoever. The author is stupid, so emo for what lah."

L1/1

- the last sentence is valid in real life, but not to be used in the analysing of source!

- do not use singlish!

- did not write point on how author hopes that the audience will not be offended

- structure all incorrect, check your ss exercise book please!

- good point on how source did not have a purpose for it was only used to express herself, therefore source does not have any intended achievement, and author does not want readers to feel angry, guilty, sorry etc.
